(8) Kicking up my feet.

This is a very lazy picture, but then...I've been getting back into town at midnight for the last three nights because of this pit orchestra gig, and I'm just. Tired.

In other news...we (the pit) looked totally bad-ass today in our all black concert dress. I'm a minority in the pit of five being the only female and at least a head shorter than everyone else, but...what can I say? I'm kicking up my feet. Life is good.

(7) I am musicked out

This picture sucks but it's an accurate representation of my day.
Got some sweet new piano music.
Played more pit orchestra madness.
Sten the trumpet player played with Prince's horn section last week.
Not only do I suddenly feel inadequate, but I feel bad for him being stuck with this gig.

(6) I love my piano

I really do. Very much. But I hate my pit orchestra music...even though the practicing of said music provided inspiration for yonder picture.

Even though trying to play the violin parts is scary on a keyboard, the experience and the people make the whole ordeal worth it.

(5)

I'm tired today.
All of the sheets and blankets formerly nested comfortably (albeit messily) on my bed have slipped off.
I have been spending too much time at the coffee shop...and drinking too much coffee.
My parents got new checks today. =S With the Simpson family on them.

Also, not featured in this picture: My father's Razz scooter is fixed. Finally. After 7 years. I'm enjoying my new transportation prospects.

4. Life's little exercises

I logged into Runescape, by old online RPG of choice, today under the influence of a few friends. They were about to have an epic battle to the death and I just couldn't miss it...anyway. Runescape. A horrible late elementary school/Jr. High school addiction for me, which I thankfully got bored with and moved on from just in time to get a life and some friends. So eh...yeah.

The point of this story is that the log-in process was one of the highlights of my day:
"Welcome Back, devilelf23. You last logged in 1,184 days ago."
For the win. That is a long time. I was quite amused.

The other highlight...definitely working out at the fitness center with friends this morning. I haven't worked out in so long; it felt really good! Maybe I'll keep that up.

Definite lowlight: Guys and Dolls pit orchestra rehearsal. We'll have to see how that situation plays out.

My mixture of highs and lows and a general "blah" attitude gave birth to this picture:

3. I Cheated

I actually took this photo last night. It actually *was* 2 AM, so technically the correct date, but...I knew I just wouldn't have the time or energy. So. Here it is.

I feel like over this summer, I have become an increasingly person and therefore dull to be around. I don't know if anyone agrees, but I almost feel guilty when I'm around people and I can't manage to be entertaining. I've never been this introverted before. Huh.

Day Two was ridiculous

Nothing ever happens around here unless I'm not around for it. Today is a swimming example of this statement...although I guess things didn't really happen "around here", exactly. A grand number of my dear friends went to The Sound Of Music about half an hour away...while I was at You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown an hour and a half from that. Following the show, they drove another chunk to go out to dinner at about...11 PM.

This is probably the first and only time something of that nature will happen with my amigos, and I got to miss it. Poo. Especially since it was an assortment of friends I rarely see. Poo again. Oh well.

I should stop my complaining, though...I had a fabulous time today. You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown was excellent and what's better than getting to hang out with my beau for a few hours at his home for once instead of mine?

Anyway. Picture time.

After great indecisiveness regarding the subject of only my second photo, I decided to brag about the fact that my account is on the top of the list. Both because I am first alphabetically and because I'm the computer's favorite. Nyah.

I miss my Vox blog, but here we Go.

Today I went blog surfing around Vox. Something I have never done before.

And I found inspiration for an endeavor I have decided to undertake.
I have had blogs before but, just like childhood journals, I eventually lose interest in writing in them or begin posting so scarcely it's hardly worth it.
This project will:
A) Keep me posting in a blog!
B) Raise my self esteem and force daily creativity.

The 365 Project.
I've found a few examples around the web of this being accomplished before, so...I'm doing it. I will snap a self-portrait every SINGLE day for an entire year. Granted...not necessarily of my face or anything. I've seen some pretty interesting concepts for pictures which I am quite excited to experiment with.

So...Day 1. Here's a self portrait:

I had just gotten done cleaning up after a movie at the theater, and was frustrated...both at 20-minute-late-comers and at the fact that I had accidentally mixed up all of the money from the ticket booth with that of the concessions stand. Oy. I like the sign in the background, even if my face isn't all there. You can see the whites of my eyes, so it counts! It was this or this strange snapshot of part of my face in front of my bicycle in the garden in which a zit looks like a massive beauty mark. Oh well. Here it is!

Also...now and forever more, comments shall be appreciated deeply.
